    Barcelona

    As the appointed Director of Business Transformation, Barcelona brings a wealth of experience to her role, having designed and commissioned various plant units across her career, including the state-of-the-art Sulphuric Acid Plant at the Dundee Tsumeb Smelter. Barcelona is a Chemical Engineer and holds an Executive Management MBA from the University of Cape Town, and servesat an industry level through her Chairmanship of the Chamber Safety Committee and COVID-19 Task Team, and is a founding member of the Women in Mining Association

    Christo

    Christo Horn has over 30 years of experience working in the mining sector, of which the last 18 years have been in senior and executive management. He loves being at a mine site and working with the site team to realize the people and business potential. When not mining, he loves reading and spending time outdoors doing sport with his wife.

    Eliakim

    Irvinne Simataa is an experienced mining executive and a registered Professional Engineer with a set of well-developed competencies and a diversified mineral commodities experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering from The University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa, a Senior Management Development Programme certificate from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Stellenbosch and further completed the Program for Management Excellence at the Gordon Institute of Business, University of Pretoria. He is currently reading for a Masters of Science in Engineering at The University of Witwatersrand.

    Conrad

    Conrad is the CEO of RMB in Namibia. Before his career in investment banking with RMB he worked in Europe, Australia, South America and across Africa in the mining industry for a variety of diversified mining houses and mid-tier players. He filled a number of roles in M&A and corporate finance for amongst others Trafigura, De Beers and Xstrata (Glencore). He is a qualified Chartered Accountant, Global Chartered Management Accountant, Associate Corporate Treasurer and holds a M.Phil. in Futures Studies.

    Fabian

    Fabian has over 16 years mining industry experience having worked at four of Nambia’s large operations, namely: Rössing Uranium, De Beers Marine Namibia, Skorpion Zinc and Namdeb in various technical and managerial roles. Fabian is RMB’s Sector Lead for Mining and Natural Resources. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Geophysics (Leeds), an MBA (USB), is a keen cyclist and is a registered professional geologist

    Hennie

    John

    Mr Borshoff is an experienced mining executive and geologist with over 45 years ’uranium experience. He took Paladin Energy Ltd from a junior explorer to amulti-mine uranium company worth over US$5 billion in the pre - Fukushima era. He joined Deep Yellow in 2016, aiming to develop the company into a Tier 1, global uranium producer. The focus is currently on the Tumas deposit in Namibia with a Mining Licence Application recently lodged for this Project.

    Mark

    Mark Dawe has over 30 years experience working in Namibia’s mining sector, and in his current role as the Managing Director and Country Manager for B2Gold Namibia, he exemplifies what B2Gold looks for in leadership: He shares with the company a similar passion for team-building and maximizing employee potential. He has a passion for responsible mining, sustainable development and “truly making a difference to country, community and environment”

    Retha

    Retha is a transformation specialist that focuses on developing resilience–the ability to renew. Solving for the how to in complex situations, she supports business leaders, organisations and towns through extra-ordinary transitions. She specialises in co-creating economic and social transformations of especially rural towns with the objective to create sustainable futures.

    Robert

    Robert attended Rhodes University, completing a B.Com (Honours) in Economics. He began his career at the Economic Association of Namibia and joined financial services company Cirrus Capital in July 2017 as an economist. In June 2021, he was promoted toHead of Research.

    Sheron

    As the Technical Services Manager and the understudy to the Vice President - Operations at Trevali Rosh Pinah mine, Sharon brings with her 16 years’ experience in the mining sector, and was part of the teams that converted major exploration projects into operational mines in Namibia. She was the first female Mineral Resources Manager in Namibia as part of her stint at Rosh Pinah , and played a major role in increasing the life of mine at Rosh Pinah mine.

    Steve

    With 40 years’ working experience in exploration, mining, government, investments, corporate - and project finance, banking and strategic management and having served on boards of several financial and mining companies, Steve retired from banking in early 2017 but still serves on governing bodies of various banking, ICT, tourism, environmental, community and governance organisations.

    Werner

    Werner has more than 35 years’ experience in the diamond, coal and uranium mining industries. Prior to joining Bannerman Resources, Werner was Mine Manager at Rössing Uranium Mine in Namibia. He has worked in the diamond industry at Namdeb and in the under ground diamonds mines in South Africa as well as at the Tarong Coal Mine in Queensland, Australia.
